Fall to me means beautiful colors, playing in leaves, decorating with pumpkins, cooking and baking. I always get a little burned out with cooking in the summer. It's to hot to be over a stove in the kitchen, so when the cooler weather rolls around, I can't wait to start cooking again! Today I thought I would share a few of my favorite recipes I've made this week.
Homemade Granola Bars
These are NOT your average granola bars! These are the best granola bars we have EVER HAD, store bought or homemade. I'm not joking. When you make these you won't want to ever buy another box at the store again!!! My family tends to be a little picky about nuts and "healthy things" going in food, but they loved these bars. This recipe comes from one of my favorite food blogs, Red Head Recipes. She no longer blogs, but she has a treasure trove of Delicious recipes. Anything I've ever made of hers turns out amazing!
I was able to cut 24 bars out of this recipe. My tip on this recipe is I used honey and flax seed instead of agave and wheat germ. I think you could also add fiber powder to bar and make it like the fiber 1 bars in the store. Click on the link below to get the recipe.
2 Ingredient Pizza Dough
I was a little skeptical of this dough when I found it on pintrest. I didn't think it would actually work. We tried it anyway and not only does it work...It's Delicious! The only ingredients are Greek yogurt and self rising flour. My tip on this recipe is the ratio is 1 cup yogurt to 1 cup flour, I found it was more like 1 cup yogurt to 1 1/2 cups of flour. We made a garlic white sauce to top the dough then added chicken and cheese....YUMMY! Click on the link below to get the recipe.

Cinnamon Vanilla Almonds
These are EXACTLY like the almonds you get at carnivals and fairs. SO YUMMY! Our whole family loves these and they are VERY EASY!!! My only tip on this is I reduced the cooking time from 10 in to 4. They started to smell like they were burning, so just keep a close watch on them. Click on the link below to get the recipe.
Happy BAKING!!!
