I've been wanting to make a rag rug for awhile now. I have a small *wink* obsession with floral sheets. I pick them up at yard sales all the time, wait.......I mean occasionally I will buy a sheet at a yard sale......
You can make a rag rug the traditional way, by braiding three stands of torn sheets together and then sewing the braid onto a backing of some kind...or you can crochet a single stand of torn sheet into a rug. I tried both and I prefer crocheting the rug.
Here's my floral rag rug.
I think it's home is going to be Miss Jillian's room...when she has one, which will be someday soon....eventually......hopefully!

Here's a sneak peek at some of our Prairie Sisters party Decor!
We decorated these old blue mason jars with burlap, lace, frames and vintage cowgirl photos. These jars will be sitting pretty and holding flowers on all the tables. I really hope your not going to miss this party. It's the best vintage show EVER!

I have to show you this dresser I picked up on the side of the road a couple weeks ago. (Yes, I'm the kinda girl who stops and picks up stuff on the side of the road, which drives Buck nuts!) When I found this dresser I was in the car and I didn't want to just leave it there to go get the truck....I mean someone else might grab it before I got back..anyway....I needed to fit this dresser in the trunk of my car!!!! I pulled out all the drawers and put them in my front seat, because the back seat if full of kids and opened up my trunk.I tried and tried but, It wouldn't fit anyway except standing up! I'm pretty sure people who were driving by ....were laughing at me on the side of the road trying to cram a dresser in my trunk!!!! I stood the dresser up and put bungee cords on it, attaching it to my trunk! I then drove home very slowly.........very slowly........Well, it was all worth it. Here is the before,
And here is the after! Numbers on furniture is a very big trend right now. I think it's so cute. I'm very tempted to keep it. I'll have to hide it from Rodeo man though!!!!
